If you sign up for this challenge by 11:59 PM on December 31, 2009, you will be automatically entered in a special giveaway (U.S. only – sorry!). You will be given a choice of three books that qualify for the challenge, donated by Harper and Picador: Burnt Shadows by Kamila Shamsie, Madras on Rainy Days by Samina Ali and Sacred Games by Vikram Chandra. I will pick three winners – the first will get their pick, the second will get their pick from the two that are left, and the third will get the last one! Please note you can sign up anytime after the challenge begins, you just won’t be eligible for this giveaway.

The idea of this challenge is a good one. I have a shelf of books that will meet the qualifications for the challenge and if it finally gets me around to start reading from that shelf it will be a great thing.
My goal is to meet the 10 book level of the challenge.

My name popped up on the Mr. Linky list as number 11. I don’t have a blog so I signed in using the words that came up when I “hovered” over the date and time on my comment i.e. ‘http://comment permalink”. Does this mean I am properly signed in? When I click on my name a screen comes up indicating the page can be found. If there is anything I should change to be properly part of this challenge let me know. Have a good day.

Coming a little late to this. I had vowed no reading challenges this year, but they’re so hard to resist!
