Summary:

Lily Moore has been doing her best to deal with with what happened to her sister, but she hasn’t been doing so well. So when her best friend Jesse suggests a trip hiking the Inca trail in Peru, she agrees to go along. She’s hopeful it will shake her out of her depression, and when she sees the beautiful city of Machu Picchu, she thinks it may be just the trick. But when Lily witnesses the murder of a young woman in the ancient city, she can’t help but be reminded of past events as she tries to seek justice for the victim.

Snapshot Review:

In this thrilling sequel to The Damage Done, author Hilary Davidson continues Lily’s adventures, this time set in Peru. The setting is described in vivid detail; readers will love watching the country and its history come alive around them. The story is interesting, if complex; there are a lot of new characters, and though Davidson distinguishes them well, it take a close eye to fully follow the twists and turns in the plot and keep everything straight. Lily’s a great main character, and the author takes care to further develop her in The Next One to Fall. All in all, this is an enjoyable second installment to this series, and I look forward to seeing what Lily does next in Evil in All Its Disguises.
